Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 13-week contract, day shifts (Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with occasional 9 AM - 6 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop treatment plans for radiation therapy, ensuring accurate dose calculations
• Utilize advanced planning systems such as Eclipse (Varian) and Pinnacle (Philips) for treatment design
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists and therapists to optimize patient care
• Adjust and modify treatment plans based on patient-specific data and requirements
• Float between two clinical sites in the Wilmington, NC area, supporting local radiation therapy services
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with healthcare standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dosimetrist in a clinical setting
• Certification or licensing as a Radiation Dosimetrist (ARRT or equivalent)
• Experience with CT simulation, external beam therapy, IMRT, and treatment planning software
• BLS certification required
• Experience working with Varian systems, including True Beam and 21iX, preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in adult acute care settings
• Familiarity with CBCT, kV/MV imaging, and tumor localization techniques
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment and support multidisciplinary teams

Additional Notes

• No orientation needed; can start directly at the clinic
• Will work float coverage between two sites, supporting ongoing patient treatments
• May work during holiday periods with scheduled shifts on the Sunday before Thanksgiving and Christmas
• No call requirement; occasional schedule adjustments based on department needs
