Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in long-term care or skilled nursing facility settings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor residents' health status, document care activities, and report changes to physicians and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to resident safety and quality of care.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities to enhance resident outcomes.
- Support infection control protocols and safety initiatives within the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for long-term care facilities.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working specifically in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
- Familiarity with quality improvement processes and data analysis.
- Leadership skills or prior experience supervising or mentoring staff.
