Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Zanesville, OH

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 36 hours/week, day shift, rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care primarily on the Respiratory unit, managing COVID and potentially other acute cases
• Float between various Medical-Surgical units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarders
• Adhere to unit standards and ensure accurate documentation within Epic EMR
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings for appropriate patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient treatment
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital policies

Required Qualifications:

• Active Ohio RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 3 years recent/current Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing experience
• Proficiency in Epic EMR (refresher classes or one-on-one training not provided)
• Ability to pass telemetry competency assessment on day one

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in high-acuity or stepdown units
• Ability to adapt quickly to float and rapid response situations
