Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to patients in the observation unit with expected short stays of up to two nights.
- Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and manage telemetry equipment.
- Start IVs, including PICC line management, and perform patient assessments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate patient disposition decisions.
- Assist with patients diagnosed with dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, nausea, vomiting, post-procedure care, and other acute conditions.
- Support patient care in a fast-paced telemetry environment, including occasional floating to assist with inpatient Med/Surg tele patients.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical or telemetry experience
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
- Skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, starting IVs, and PICC line management
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS and OCNS certifications
- Experience managing patients with chemotherapy/radiation symptoms or post-procedure care
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting in a dynamic environment
