Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following established nursing protocols, policies, and state regulations.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately according to standards of care.
• Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Participate in department performance improvement activities and support shared governance initiatives.
• Utilize clinical expertise to support continuity of care across units and departments.
• Use critical thinking to ensure patient safety and a positive patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Engage in professional development activities, peer review, and unit practice improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• NRP certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in Labor and Delivery or maternal-child nursing.
• Knowledge of current obstetric care standards and protocols.
