Tech IR/Special Procedures

Job Title
• IR/Special Procedures Technician

• Fort Pierce, FL

Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, 13-week assignment, Day shift (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities
• Perform specialized interventional radiology procedures including cardiac catheterizations, cerebral angiograms, stent placements, balloons, and ENT lab procedures.
• Assist in scrubbing and supporting the IR team during complex procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during all procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Operate advanced imaging equipment from GE and Philips.
• Maintain accurate documentation within EMR systems such as Meditech and MacLab.
• On-call coverage required for weekdays and weekends on a rotating basis.

Required Qualifications
• BLS, ACLS, ARRT certification for technologists.
• Recent acute care facility IR/Special Procedures experience.
• Competence in handling GE Innova and other IR equipment.
• Ability to perform advanced interventional procedures such as cardiac caths and cerebral angiograms.
• Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• RCIS certification (recommended but not required).
• Prior experience in high-volume, fast-paced IR departments.
• Strong patient care focus and critical thinking skills.
• Flexibility to accommodate frequent on-call shifts.
