Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to oncology unit patients, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Provide clinical support and direct patient care in accordance with unit policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, maintaining a respectful and considerate approach.
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards, including bloodborne pathogen protocols.
• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to adapt to patient needs and emergency situations.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of patient care within an oncology/med-surg setting and age-specific needs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in oncology or related specialized units.
• Familiarity with ACLS certification (preferred but not required).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under stress.
