Registered Nurse

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days, Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care Unit / Progressive Care Unit / Stepdown setting, utilizing the nursing process.
• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while documenting actions and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols.
• Ensure patient and family education needs are met for admission and discharge.
• Supervise and provide clinical guidance to LPNs and non-licensed staff.

Required Qualifications:

• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from accredited organizations.
• Successful completion of a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia Assessment (BCA) exam.
• Minimum of 2 years current experience in an 18-plus bed telemetry or progressive care unit.
• Experience with fast-paced environments and team collaboration.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Epic EMR experience.
• Prior travel nursing assignment of at least 13 weeks.
