Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to obstetric patients across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn units.
- Assist with various procedures including active labor management, epidural administration, oxytocin and magnesium infusions.
- Monitor and document fetal and maternal status using EPIC and OBIX systems.
- Collaborate with support staff and physicians to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain compliance with licensure, certification, and hospital protocols.
- Participate in unit-specific training and orientation programs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Wisconsin.
- BLS and NRP certification required; ACLS and STABLE preferred.
- Proven experience in labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery/newborn care.
- Familiarity with basic medical/surgical patient care.
- Proof of Basic Electronic Fetal Monitoring course completion.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Knowledge of Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) standards.
- Experience with computerized documentation systems such as EPIC and OBIX.
- Prior experience in a high-volume labor and delivery setting.
