Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust nursing care plans accordingly
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate medical management
- Monitor and assess patients to ensure optimal care delivery under pressure
- Contribute to the team’s efforts in managing diverse emergency cases in a rural hospital environment
- Participate in ongoing training and familiarize oneself with hospital-specific electronic medical records system
Required Qualifications
- Current Vermont or multi-state compact RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Minimum of 3 years of ER nursing experience
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems (Meditech preferred)
- Credentialing completed and uploaded no later than five business days before start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Experience working in rural or critical access hospital environments
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
