Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including those on cardiac and insulin drips.
• Monitor patient vitals and cardiac activity using advanced monitoring equipment.
• Administer medications, including IVs and drips, in accordance with physician orders.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Respond to rapid response and code situations as part of the hospital’s emergency teams.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Vermont.
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience, including cardiac and insulin drips.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (NIHSS required before starting).
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years is mandatory.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital or similar small facility.
• Ability to work independently with critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of hospital protocols for rapid response, fall prevention, and IV therapy.
