Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients in a critical access hospital setting.
- Monitor cardiac and other invasive devices using Phillips cardiac monitors and Alaris infusion pumps.
- Administer medications and infusions, including insulin and cardiac drips, following protocol.
- Collaborate with hospitalist team and ancillary staff to ensure patient stability and safety.
- Document patient care accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Respond swiftly to code blue, rapid response, and fall situations, supporting hospital protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical Telemetry nursing experience.
- Prior travel experience preferred.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NIHSS certification before start date.
- Experience with EPIC EMR system within the past 2 years.
- Proficiency with insulin and cardiac drips.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in progressive care units.
- Ability to quickly integrate into a team-oriented environment.
- Strong critical thinking and bedside assessment skills.
