Registered Nurse PACU

- Night shift, Travel, 26-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery nursing care to surgical patients in a busy PACU setting
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to clinical changes using standard PACU equipment
- Administer medications, perform lab draws, and assist with patient transport as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe and efficient patient recovery
- Document patient progress and care interventions accurately within the Cerner system
- Float within peri-anesthesia areas including Endoscopy, Pre-Op, and Phase II, as required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Ventilator monitoring skills
- Experience with trauma and pediatric patient care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior trauma and pediatric nursing experience
- NIH Stroke Scale experience
- Experience working in a hospital PACU environment

- Schedule: Night shifts, 9:00 PM – 9:30 AM
- Equipment: Standard PACU tools and technology
- Dress code: Surgical green or navy scrubs
- Schedule: Six-week blocks with three call shifts within each period
