Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient- and family-centered care by recognizing patients as active partners, respecting their preferences and values, and delivering culturally sensitive, evidence-based nursing care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary teams, advocating for patient needs and ensuring comprehensive care planning and education.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate safe transitions of care, shared decision-making, and continuous quality improvement processes.
• Utilize current clinical evidence to inform practice, participate in updates to policies and procedures, and uphold standards established by relevant professional organizations.
• Monitor care outcomes using data, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and implement evidence-based strategies to enhance patient safety and care quality.
• Recognize and address potential safety concerns, following established policies and reporting unsafe conditions to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Use electronic medical records and healthcare technology effectively for documentation, communication, and clinical decision support.
• Engage in professional development activities, such as continuing education, professional organization participation, and mentorship, to support organizational goals and advance nursing practice.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to provide effective, compassionate emergency nursing care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of patient safety protocols and evidence-based practices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in an emergency room setting
• ACLS certification preferred
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
• Bilingual skills a plus
