Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the operating room environment.
- Respond promptly to call requirements, with a 30-minute response time for callbacks.
- Assist in perioperative procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare for and support various surgical procedures.
- Maintain compliance with all safety and health standards related to surgical nursing.
- Be prepared to take immediate call in multiple surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, OB/GYN (including C-sections), and GI Lab.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana.
- Ability to respond to calls within 30 minutes.
- Experience or ability to quickly adapt to multiple surgical specialties.
- Must be able to hit the ground running and take immediate call in specified specialties.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous operating room or perioperative nursing experience.
- Certifications such as ACLS, BLS, or perioperative nursing credentials.
- Familiarity with emergency call procedures in a surgical setting.
