Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, travel assignment (16-32 weeks)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide acute Med-Surg and telemetry patient care in a 51-bed unit, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient treatment.
• Perform bedside NG tube insertions, peripheral IV placements, and interpret telemetry strips with proficiency.
• Respond actively to telemetry alarms and rhythm interpretations, taking appropriate clinical actions.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic EMR system and adhere to facility protocols.
• Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including CNAs, LPNs, and charge nurses, to deliver quality patient care.
• Participate in bi-weekly orientations and collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet unit and patient needs.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years’ Med-Surg Telemetry experience or 3 years Telemetry experience.
• Valid AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (NIHSS prior to start).
• Prior travel nursing experience required, with at least 2 travel assignments at 300+ bed facilities or previous experience within an acute care facility.
• Recent EPIC EMR experience (within past 2 years).
• Telemetry certification is mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation (personal or rental vehicle recommended).

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with peripheral IV placement is preferred.
• Ability to work independently on a fast-paced Med-Surg unit.
