Job Title

• Full-time, 12-hour shifts, nights, on-site

Key Responsibilities
• Provide patient care for medical-surgical telemetry patients, including those requiring cardiac monitoring and infusion therapy.
• Manage and monitor Alaris IV pumps, Phillips cardiac monitors, and other specialized equipment.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care within established protocols.
• Respond to rapid response and code situations, supporting the hospital’s emergency response team.
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately using EPIC electronic health records.
• Work closely with hospitalists and ancillary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Required Qualifications
• Valid registered nurse license in Vermont or the ability to obtain licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• NIHSS certification prior to start date.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system within the past 2 years.
• Proven ability to manage insulin and cardiac drips.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Progressive care experience is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.

Additional Information
• Assignment duration is approximately 16–32 weeks.
• Travel rates vary based on distance, with options for local, regional, and travel stipends.
• Must work 2 out of 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day.
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained in application.
• Reliable transportation is required; vehicles should be equipped for winter conditions.
• No block schedules; schedule includes voluntary rotation within the unit’s operational hours.
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions (next starting 10/13).
