Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students at Joseph Pye Elementary School during a maternity leave coverage from October 31, 2025, to January 6, 2026
- Collaborate with a team of 2.5 SLPs to support students in autism and mild ID classes
- Manage a caseload involving low-incidence classes, with shared responsibilities across different classrooms
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Document therapy sessions and progress notes accurately and timely
Required Qualifications
- Valid South Carolina SLP license
- South Carolina Educator Certificate (can be obtained if candidate already holds SLP licensure)
- ASHA CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Ability to work effectively in a school setting and collaborate with educational staff
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working with children with autism and mild intellectual disabilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to cover short-term maternity leave assignment
