Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the Intermediate Care/Progressive Care Unit, specializing in acute cardiac and medical-surgical conditions
• Manage insulin drips, cardiac drips, and other infusion therapies, including starting IVs and post-cardiac cath care
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and telemetry, responding to emergent situations appropriately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately within the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Float to appropriate units as needed, supporting staffing flexibility during shift coverage

Required Qualifications

• RN license for New York or proof of application with applied date
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification (must be completed prior to start)
• Minimum of 1 year ICU or telemetry experience within the past year
• Experience with insulin drips, cardiac infusions, starting IVs, and post-cardiac cath care
• Epic EMR experience from within the last 2 years

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nurse experience preferred
• Familiarity with adult patient populations with diagnoses such as ACS, heart failure, recovery from vascular surgery, or similar conditions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a float team in a fast-paced environment
