Key Responsibilities
• Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care for patients in the Intermediate Care (IMC), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Stepdown units.
• Monitor cardiac patients, including those with arrhythmias, post-MI, and post-procedure recovery, utilizing telemetry and other advanced monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including passing required exams such as EKG testing.
• Document patient progress and response to treatments accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Assist in overflow cases for other progressive care level patients, supporting the hospital's high standards of patient care.

Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent cardiac ICU or PCU experience.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, post-MI care, pre/post cardiac cath, and use of rapid response teams.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to handle complex cardiac patient cases involving plans of care for arrhythmias, heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, and post-procedure recovery.
• Knowledge of CVP monitoring, PICC lines, central lines, and EP lab procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with new onset and chronic atrial fibrillation, Tikosyn loading, pacemaker/ICD placement, and EP lab procedures.
• Comfortable with float assignments across multiple hospital campuses if needed.
• First-time travel nurses are welcome.
