Key Responsibilities

• Perform polysomnography procedures, including recording and scoring sleep studies.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct patient evaluations for sleep-related breathing disorders and other sleep abnormalities such as seizure disorders and narcolepsy.
• Complete required documentation and clerical tasks to support clinical operations.
• Assist in maintaining the clinical and operational aspects of the Sleep Disorders Center.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program, or completion of the A-STEP program from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, or graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program.
• RPSGT credential from BRPT, SDS credential from NBRC, or RST credential from the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
• If not credentialed, must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC, licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCPC), and pass the RPSGT, RST, or SDS exam within 1 year of eligibility.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 1 year of experience as a Polysomnographer.
• Prior experience working with pediatric patients for at least 6 months.
