Key Responsibilities

• Float to various Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) units as needed to provide patient care.
• Ensure staff and patient safety within a secure corrections environment.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses using EPIC electronic health record system.
• Manage patients with active oncology diagnoses, including solid tumors and hematologic conditions, as well as non-oncology diagnoses such as sepsis, pneumonia, and postoperative care.
• Interpret and respond to telemetry cardiac rhythm and manage dysrhythmias.
• Provide specialized care including IV therapy, blood product administration, feeding tubes, and ventilator support (CPAP, BIPAP).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, and rapid response teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Nursing License (or appropriate state licensure)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Epic charting experience is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Telemetry monitoring competencies
• Experience with cardiac drips, PICC line care, and insulin protocols
