Registered Nurse - Correctional

Full-time, day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to inmates within a secure correctional environment in accordance with healthcare standards.
• Float between various Oncology Medical-Surgical units as needed, supporting diverse patient needs.
• Ensure staff and patient safety in a secured correctional unit setting.
• Conduct assessments, administer medications, and manage treatments for patients with oncology and non-oncology diagnoses.
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and social services.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• EPIC charting experience.
• Experience or familiarity with correctional healthcare settings is preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Oncology experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong competency in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
• Knowledge of cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response.
• Ability to manage IV therapies, medication administration protocols, and respiratory support equipment.
