• Full-time, ongoing assignment
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Requires working 3 nights per week, including holiday coverage if applicable
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized intensive care to pediatric patients ages 0-18 with complex medical and surgical diagnoses
• Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilatory, cardiac, ECMO, CRRT, and other advanced supportive therapies
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapists, pediatric dietitians, and pharmacists
• Document patient care accurately in an electronic health record system (EPIC)
• Adapt to fluctuating patient ratios (1:1, 1:2, 1:3) and float within scope as needed
• Manage urgent and emergency situations in a Level I Trauma Center environment
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU nursing experience
• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license
• BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only)
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with ECMO and CRRT therapies
• Prior work in a teaching, Level I trauma, or magnet hospital setting
• Ability to work flexible schedules and accommodate block requests with manager approval

Additional Details
• Pediatric ICU is a 28-bed unit serving a broad spectrum of complex pediatric cases
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are encouraged to apply; limited cases accepted at reduced rate
• RTO requests are to be submitted at time of application and approval is based on unit needs
• Guaranteed hours with flexibility for one shift off every two weeks
• Parking permit required (approximate fee $20), with additional costs outside designated parking areas
• Open to first-time travelers familiar with pediatric critical care
Note: All assignments may include emergency response duties during hurricane season (June – November).
