Key Responsibilities
• Assess patients in the operating room to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible persons regarding procedures and care.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment by recognizing and reporting changes in patient condition.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare standards.
• Contribute to a healthy work environment by managing conflicts professionally and using effective communication skills.
• Participate in ongoing continuing education to stay current with clinical practices.
• Meet core measure responsibilities related to patient care in the operating room setting.
Required Qualifications
• Valid Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in operating room nursing or perioperative care
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols
• Ability to work within a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
