Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a busy Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center.
• Assess patient conditions, perform and document accurate nursing interventions using Cerner systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Utilize advanced skills in procedures and equipment, including Baxter pumps and GE monitors.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort by adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and patient experience practices, including AIDET and respectful behavior.

Required Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an emergency department.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications or able to obtain prior to start.
• Proven experience in high-volume ED settings, ideally with Level 2 trauma center exposure.
• Team-oriented with strong feedback and coaching skills.
• Flexibility to work across all areas of the Emergency Department.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in a hospital serving a multi-cultural community with over 120 languages spoken.
• Familiarity with advanced trauma and stroke protocols.

Note: This role includes schedules every other weekend and requires a flexible approach to meet department needs. Uniform required: navy scrubs.
