Job Title
- Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

- Winston-Salem, NC
Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, contract for 16-18 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care primarily for stroke, neurosurgery, epilepsy, and other neuro diagnoses
- Perform IV starts, monitor telemetry, interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Float to other Med/Surg and Tele units, including COVID care units, as needed
- Adhere to unit protocols, including passing EKG testing prior to start
- Ensure compliance with unit policies regarding scheduled days off and float requirements
- Support patient recovery and safety in a fast-paced acute care environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in Medical-Surgical nursing
- Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina
- Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Current BCLS certification
- Ability to pass EKG testing prior to assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification (preferred but not required)
- NIH, NIHSS certifications are a plus
- Experience working in a neuro or stroke unit is highly desirable
