Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive wound care to patients, including colostomy, ileostomy, and ostomy management.
• Perform assessments and apply appropriate treatment plans for pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, neuropathic, and arterial ulcers.
• Manage wound debridement using various agents and techniques, including hydrocolloids, enzymatic, and autolytic methods.
• Implement infection control protocols, isolation precautions, and patient/family education to support healing and prevent complications.
• Utilize advanced wound care equipment such as VAC therapy, wound vacs, and dressing changes, ensuring proper documentation and wound culture collection.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and float between departments as needed, adhering to scope of practice.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Wound Care Certification (WCC).
• Experience with colostomy, ileostomy, and ostomy management.
• Knowledge of wound assessment, dressing selection, and infection control procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior wound care experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Familiarity with advanced wound treatment modalities and equipment.
• Ability to educate patients and families about wound management and prevention.
