Registered Nurse - CVOR

Schedule / Job Type:

Full-time, travel contract, days shift with call

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized cardiovascular postoperative care in the CVOR unit
• Support surgical procedures and assist during cardiovascular surgeries
• Respond to call shifts in a rotating schedule, approximately 5-6 shifts every four weeks
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and coordinate care with the surgical team
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications:

• Active and permanent RN license from the state of Alaska
• Minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular surgery nursing experience
• Strong clinical skills in cardiovascular post-op care and OR protocols
• Ability to respond effectively during call shifts and handle emergent situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in a hospital environment, specifically in cardiothoracic surgery units
• Ability to adapt to variable call schedules and manage high-acuity patients
