Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shift (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM), rotating weekends, 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pulmonary care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician supervision.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans.
- Perform technical procedures including airway management, ventilator setup and operation, and aerosolized drug delivery.
- Manage airway support devices such as BiPAP and CPAP.
- Analyze chest films, blood gases, EKGs, and perform waveform analysis.
- Participate in emergency response (Code Blue/White) and hospital surveys.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure equipment cleanliness and stock levels.
- May serve as Shift Lead or Team Leader.
- Advanced duties may include pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy support, hemodynamic monitoring, and sleep studies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RT or RCP license in the state of Texas.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 1-3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
- Experience with ventilator management, therapeutic gas management, and advanced procedures such as Polysomnography.
