Key Responsibilities
- Provide pulmonary care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, including critical, non-critical, and chronically ill individuals, under physician supervision.
- Perform patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans.
- Execute technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures across hospital departments.
- Manage airway devices, ventilators, and administer aerosolized medications.
- Analyze chest films, blood gases, and EKGs; document patient care accurately.
- Respond to emergency codes and participate in hospital surveys.
- Support advanced practice tasks such as pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assistance, and waveform analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RT or RCP license in Texas.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by NBRC.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ventilator management, aerosolized drug delivery, and airway support devices.
- Familiarity with pulmonary function testing, sleep studies, and hemodynamic monitoring.
