Key Responsibilities
- Provide circulating and scrubper nursing care for cardiovascular operating room procedures
- Assist with a variety of surgeries including ortho, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neuro cases
- Support the heart team with flexible coverage, including call and weekend rotations
- Float to different units as needed, including potential coverage at a satellite ambulatory campus
- Ensure compliance with safety and procedural standards during all surgical cases
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS certification
- Experience working in a large, teaching hospital setting
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience from within the past 2 years
- Circulating nurse experience required; scrub experience preferred
- Strong general nursing skills in a surgical environment
- Ability to work 2 out of 4 holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CNOR certification preferred
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary surgical team
- Experience with complex procedures such as neuro and robotics surgeries
