Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities
• Perform general nursing duties including assessments every four hours and medication administration
• Reassess patient interventions and adjust care plans accordingly
• Assist with activities of daily living with tech support, including blood administration, dressing changes, and oral care
• Apply back and neck braces, perform G-tube feeding, and insert and maintain IVs and central lines
• Manage pain, utilize restraint protocols, and turn patients to prevent bedsores
• Use medical equipment such as EPIC, Vocera, and Pyxis to support patient care
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care for neurological patients

Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience in Neuroscience or Neuro-related units
• Experience with complex neurological procedures and equipment
• Ability to float to other medical units, including Nephrology, Oncology, Orthopedics, and Medical-Surgical units

Unit Information
• 36-bed Neuroscience Unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5 on days and 5-6 on nights
• Training includes a 3-day orientation: day-on Canvas training, unit tour, and clinical orientation with a preceptor
• Dress code: Professional matching scrubs with tattoos and nose rings covered while on duty
