Full-time, night shift (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.), rotating weekends and holidays, float required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for patients with neurological and orthopedic diagnoses, including stroke, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, and post-surgical recovery.
- Interpret laboratory results, perform medication reconciliation, and document patient histories, allergies, vital signs, and other assessments.
- Set up and assist with aseptic/sterile dressing changes and specimen collection such as capillary, throat, urine, and phlebotomy procedures.
- Conduct telephone triage, manage pharmacy calls, and respond to patient refill requests.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintaining patient safety and quality care standards with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
- Float between Cone Health campuses as needed to support staffing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of acute care rehab nursing experience.
- Current RN license.
- BLS certification.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records.
- Ability to interpret laboratory results, conduct medication reconciliation, and perform various bedside procedures.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in inpatient rehabilitation and neurological patient care.
- Knowledge of laboratory result interpretation, sterile procedures, and patient education.
