Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to ICU patients in a CVICU setting.
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, including Swan-Ganz catheters and arterial lines.
• Manage ventilators and support critical respiratory functions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and support post-surgical cardiac procedures such as CABG, VAD, and cardiac device support.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow hospital policies and protocols, including documentation and reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, preferably in cardiac or CVICU units.
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring, vent management, and critical care support.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIH certification required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Exposure to IABP, CRRT, and advanced charting in Meditech.
• Experience with post-cardiac surgery care, including support devices like Impella and ECMO.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to handle fast-paced ICU environment.
