• Full-time, temporary assignment, nights shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the telemetry unit, including monitoring and responding to cardiac and other vital signs.
• Cover Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit, including float and resource pool assignments.
• Work triage and assist with ED hold patients as needed, including working in ECC/ER during shifts.
• Support patient safety and comfort while adhering to facility protocols and documentation procedures.
• Work every other weekend and participate in scheduled holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s).
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records, primarily Epic, using their latest templates.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of current medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience.
• Valid New York State RN license or proof of application with applied date (applicable license processing time considered).
• BLS certification required; CMSRN preferred.
• NIHSS certification required prior to start.
• Epic EMR experience from within the past 2 years is mandatory.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with cardiac telemetry monitoring.
• Previous travel nursing or float pool experience.
• Knowledge of IV pumps, bladder scanners, and respiratory support equipment.
