Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to adult patients within a Magnet-recognized teaching hospital.
• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including holiday requirements.
• Float within scope to other units or facilities as needed, primarily within the main hospital’s adult population.
• Deliver care aligned with hospital policies, equipment, and charting protocols using Epic system.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all clinical standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in critical care settings.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ adult critical care respiratory therapy experience.
• Current NBRC Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential.
• South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license in hand at start date.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Able to work with adult patient populations in critical care environments.
• Acceptance of RRT SC license and willingness to float within scope.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in a Magnet, teaching, or Level 1 Trauma hospital setting.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

• Open to local candidates; distance considerations taken case-by-case.
• Pending SC license required prior to start.
• No on-call requirement, but possible floating within scope.
• Hurricane season responsibilities may require emergency response participation.
