Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting, including respiratory, neurological, and complex medical conditions.
• Assess patient status, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Monitor vital signs and manage use of specialty equipment such as ventilators, G-tubes, PICC lines, and chest tubes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and blood products as prescribed, ensuring safety and compliance with protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and support rehabilitation goals.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and alarms, utilizing strong clinical judgment and leadership skills.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or applicable state.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a critical care, LTAC, or similar environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Experience with vent management, specialty medical equipment, and complex patient care required.
• Strong organizational and assessment skills to handle high-acuity patients.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in long-term ventilator and respiratory support care.
• Knowledge of neurological and chronic disease management.
• Ability to effectively respond to alarms and emergencies on ventilator and other specialty equipment.
