Full-time, 13 to 20-week contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to adult patients in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage cardiac and vascular patient needs, including arrhythmia management.
• Perform IV starts, port access, PICC line care, and manage blood products and medications such as PCA, heparin protocols, and vasoactive drips.
• Conduct respiratory therapies including trach management, oxygen delivery, chest tube management, and ABG interpretation.
• Administer GI care such as feeding tube management, and implement wound care and isolation precautions.
• Assist with rapid response and code situations, ensuring patient safety and adherence to hospital protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license (multistate license accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with neuro stepdown, cardiac telemetry, and acute care procedures.
• Proficiency in adult patient care, including vascular access, respiratory management, and medication administration.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with echocardiogram interpretation and cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Knowledge of ventilator management and critical care protocols.
• Ability to float to other units within the hospital as needed with proper competency documentation.

Note: Candidates must be available to work the scheduled nights, with no time off between Christmas and New Year, and must work at least two of the three main holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
