Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to telemetry patients in a critical access hospital setting.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data to detect arrhythmias and other cardiac issues.
- Administer medications and IV therapies using Alaris pumps and other equipment.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team, including hospitalists and respiratory therapists, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document patient information accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Support patients across a range of diagnoses, including medical-surgical, orthopedic, urology, ENT, gynecology, and general surgery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Vermont.
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required prior to the start date.
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
- EPIC electronic health record system experience within the past 2 years.

Additional Information
- This role requires reliable transportation; public transit is not accessible in this area.
- Vehicle equipped with all-season or snow tires during winter months is recommended.
- No block scheduling; shifts are scheduled 12 hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 AM.
- Hospital operates on a voluntary rotation basis; night shift coverage is essential.
- Facility features include private and negative pressure rooms, 24/7 lab and radiology support, and a dedicated hospitalist team.
- Expect to support a patient census of up to 25 with patient ratios typically 1-4 or 5.
- Must have complete work history and explain gaps over 90 days per facility requirements.
- This position involves patient-centered care for a diverse patient population, from young adults to end-of-life patients.
