Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the Telemetry unit, specializing in cardiac and stroke cases
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to monitor and interpret EKGs, ensuring patient safety
• Pass an EKG test on the first day of the contract and demonstrate proficiency in managing cardiac and stroke patients
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and procedures
• Float to other units such as Glenbrook, Skokie, or Highland Park as needed, with rare occurrences

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license
• CPR, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certification
• Epic electronic health record experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry or Stroke unit
• At least one travel contract experience in a similar setting
• Ability to pass an EKG test on the first day of assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center (not critical but preferred)
• Strong cardiac and stroke patient care background

Additional Notes

• Start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance
• Shifts are 12 hours, scheduled days (0700-1930)
• No more than 3 days off during assignment
• Weekend work required every other week
