Key Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to surgeons by preparing and handling instruments and equipment during surgical procedures in the Operating Room.
• Maintain a sterile and organized environment to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency.
• Assist in securing and preparing supplies and instruments required for surgery prior to procedures.
• Perform instrument counts before and during procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Help position and monitor patients throughout surgeries, providing supportive care as needed.
• Ensure proper handling and routing of surgical specimens to the appropriate sources.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in a large operating room setting.
• HS Diploma or GED, and completion of a Surgical Technician training program or graduation from an accredited school.
• Certified Surgical Technician credential from NBSTSA or NCCT, or ?10 years of related experience.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Orthopedics, ENT, or Vascular surgeries.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system (training available if needed).
