Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to help patients develop, recover, and improve their skills for daily living and working.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting findings to supervising therapists.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
- Maintain clean and organized treatment areas in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery goals.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license or certification in the state of Massachusetts.
- A minimum of an associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting or related field.
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Familiarity with documentation and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
