Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for labor and delivery patients, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the birthing process
- Use equipment such as HealthLand EMR and OmniCell medication delivery systems to manage patient information and medication administration
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, float to related units such as obstetrics upon demonstrating competency
- Follow established protocols for EFM (electronic fetal monitoring), patient assessments, and emergency procedures
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and documentation requirements
- Support patient education and comfort during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
Required Qualifications
- Valid Oregon RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with general RN background and emphasis in Labor & Delivery preferred
- ADN required; BSN preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with computerized charting and medication systems
- Familiarity with Labor & Delivery procedures and protocols
- Ability to float between units, such as obstetrics, with demonstrated competency
