Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care for diverse surgical procedures in a busy OR environment.
• Assist with pre-operative preparations, intraoperative assistance, and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with surgical teams including nurses, surgical technicians, and physicians to ensure efficient procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system using Meditech.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and equipment standards, including robotics, cardiac, neuro, spine, oncology, and other specialized surgeries.
• Participate in call shifts, including weekend and late shifts, as required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum 1 year of operating room or surgical nursing experience.
• Experience with Meditech electronic medical records.
• Neuro/spine experience required.
• Charge nurse experience considered a plus.
• Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) preferred, or willing to obtain.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and call shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple service lines such as orthopedics, neuro, general, robotic surgery, and urology.
• Strong team-oriented, flexible, and self-directed attitude.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
