Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location: Kansas City, MO
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Travel, Days shifts, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Operating Room for a variety of procedures, including trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology, GYN, and robotics.
- Assist with patient preparation and ensuring safety and comfort before, during, and after surgeries.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
- Follow hospital protocols and documentation procedures using the Meditech system.
- Maintain compliance with all safety and infection control standards.
- Adhere to scheduled shifts, including working Saturdays and Sundays; schedule may vary on other days.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or appropriate compact license.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, patient care standards, and OR equipment.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience working in a Level I trauma center or similar high-acuity environment.
- Familiarity with DaVinci and Mako robotics systems.
- Experience with complex surgical procedures such as hearts, trauma, and neurosurgery.
