Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an inpatient medical-surgical stepdown unit
- Monitor patient vital signs and utilize telemetry equipment for continuous cardiac monitoring
- Assist with procedures and respond to patient needs in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (Cerner)
- Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in North Carolina
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- Telemetry competency
- Minimum 2 years of recent progressive care or stepdown experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with patients requiring telemetry monitoring
- Knowledge of medical-surgical and step-down care procedures
- Strong patient-focused, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude
