• Full-time, night shifts, temporary assignment for 16-32 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide urgent and acute care in a busy Emergency Department setting.
• Manage a varied patient population from newborns to centenarians, including pediatric and adult patients.
• Perform advanced emergency procedures, including starting IVs, EKGs, and administering medications via Pyxis system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Respiratory and Mental Health staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in EPIC EMR system.
• Participate in weekend and holiday shifts as scheduled, with flexibility to work every other weekend and 2 out of 4 major holidays.

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through AHA.
• NIHSS certification required before start date.
• TNCC certification required (must be in packet or proof of class prior to start).
• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience, including teaching hospital experience.
• Recent EPIC EMR experience (within last 2 years).
• Strong pediatric patient care experience, particularly with children under age 5.
• De-escalation training such as CPS preferred.
• Reliable transportation, as public transit is not available in the area.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a busy ER with pediatric patients.
• Knowledge of trauma protocols and emergency procedures.
• Experience with a teaching hospital environment.
• Ability to handle variable shift hours and self-scheduling preferences.
