- Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, compassionate care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform basic wound care.
- Start IVs, maintain surgical drains, and manage equipment such as telemetry and IV pumps.
- Document patient care activities accurately using Meditech system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during shifts, including bedside report and family communication.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS certification.
- Prior Med/Surg nursing experience.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in setting up and maintaining IVs, wound care, and managing surgical drains or chest tubes.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with telemetry and patient monitoring technology.
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or certified Chest Pain Center.
- Comfortable working in a hospital designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
