Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), including post-surgical and medical cardiac patients.
• Float between the CCU and CVICU, supporting patient needs across units.
• Administer medications, monitor invasive lines, and manage complex cardiac cases including PA lines, transvenous pacing, and mechanical circulatory support devices such as IABP and Impella.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and maintain accurate documentation of patient progress.

Required Qualifications

• Active MA Registered Nurse license at the time of submission.
• Strong experience with PA lines, transvenous pacing, and cardiac support devices.
• At least 2 years of recent clinical experience in a cardiac care setting, surgical or medical.
• CPR/AHA and ACLS/AHA certifications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a focus on cardiac patients.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a CVICU, especially with mechanical circulatory support systems like IABP or Impella.
• Previous ICU float experience, particularly in a cardiac-focused unit.
• Familiarity with post-surgical cardiac patient care and complex invasive procedures.

Additional Details

• Must be separated from the facility for at least six months if previously employed within the last six months.
• No local travelers (must reside more than 50 miles from the facility).
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly; on-call hours not included.
• Orientation scheduled weekly on Mondays (barring holidays).
• Parking available at up to $43/day.
